• RE: Moving shafts from 915H to 818H2

    It's been awhile since the 816's came out, but that's how I remember it. The 1 degree increment requires an 816/818 head and and 816/818 Surefit. The 913-915 Surefits only adjust 0.75 degrees in the 816/818 heads.

    The 910 H/F/D all used the same adapter. Unlike the 913-917 fairways. You wouldn't be able to pull a shaft from a 913-917 fairway and use it directly in a 910. Easiest is to buy a used 910F for the shaft and resell the pieces. If you can find a 913…

    The Surefit connections are not compatible. 910-917 drivers are interchangeable with each other. 913-917 fairways are interchangeable with each other, only.

    Any 910-917 driver shaft can be interchanged with a 913 driver. Finding a different weight to adjust the swing weight for the lighter shaft will be the hardest part.

    The reps that come with the Titleist Thursdays bring a wider selection of shafts than the stock shafts that many of the retails outlets carry. The 917 drivers can be Ferrari's when tuned properly. I liken it to going to a retail sporting goods outlet…

    You are right get fitted, I always do and finally have come up with what is right for me. I finally put away my fairway and use hybrids.

    917D2 (11.25*) 816h1 (16*) 816h1 (19) 913H (23.25*).

    I may loose a few yards using the 16* hybrid vs a 16 Fairway…
