They are more visible for sure. I'm still a traditionalist and can't look down at a yellow ball yet. I love that sparkling white ball with the black script. Just georgeous!

I have an older one and have replaced the battery 5 times now with now problem. It's all plastic so maybe at some point the cover was over-tightened and snapped a few threads. Just my 2 cents worth

Stick with the old set. Even if the new ones show up early, you're gonna want to get out and play a bunch to get comfortable with them.
New clubs aren't going to play exactly like your old ones. Otherwise there would be no reason to get new ones…

In my lessons and practice I've started shortening my backswing and I'm making better contact now. Haven't lost any distance and gained some on certain clubs. When I go back too far I get all out of position.

Try it. If it doesn't help your scores or you lose too many for it to be affordable, stay with what you have. If your scores improve and you like the feel, stick with them.
