Always looking for different ways to learn more things on how to practice all shots. The same thing can be said in many ways.

Picked iron game since that is my weakness at the moment but am always open to any coaching from quality instructors. I also need to work on course strategy. Getting better at avoiding the big mistakes but still try to take on more than I can handle sometimes.

I like that you mentioned course strategy. I'm working on it as well. One thing that is helping me right away is not trying to make as many putts. Put another way, not being aggressive on putts over 10 feet, and making sure I have a 1 or 2 footer coming back (lagging putts I suppose). It's my personal "jihad" against 3 putts.
I look forward to hearing how it goes for you. Good luck!

Am working with my instructor on my iron and wedge game now. Think those two areas where we all need the most help..
  8. I’m okay with a 9-Iron. But I struggle greatly at slicing with long irons. Would love any tips on how to fix this!

how to increase back strength please
    Thank you
  10. Irons, getting off the tee long and straight enough most times, but not hitting it close enough to realistically look at birdies and putting too much pressure on the flat stick.

Accuracy with mid-long irons. that is the thing I need most. Seems to be a right left proposition right now.

Not every course has that perfect, plate-structured sand where the ball sits up nicely, so I think that a really useful "lesson" might deal with hitting out of bunkers with different types/depths of sand.

    Perfect sand
    "Beach sand"
    Wet/compact sand
    Thin sand
    ...

    Just an idea.

I would like to see more on course strategy. Looking to play smarter.
  17. Drills, drills,drills.

    Greenside Bunkers.
Specifically, from various lies (up hill, down hill, side hill, etc.) from a variety of different types of sand texture, firmness, depth and weight. Looking for good drills to hit it close, not simply to just get out. I can get it out 95% of the time. Getting it within 4 or 5 feet from every type of lie, however, is a different story.
  19. ON Course Strategy is important to playing our best IMHO, learning what aspects are often overlooked would be helpful to enjoy each round and shoot the lowest scores possible.
