Sweeps Alert: Caddy for Geoff Ogilvy at the Australian Open Pro-Am

Imagine this; it is early Wednesday morning of the Pro Am at this year’s Australian Open at The Australian Golf Club in Sydney. You arrive at the course bright and early and are welcomed by Team Titleist ANZ.

First of all we take you straight to the Locker Room to pick up your caddy bib. As you are the caddy for the day, you will need to make sure Titleist Brand Ambassador Geoff Ogilvy has all of the balls, tees, gloves, drinks, snacks and other items he needs to be able to compete at the highest level. It will be your responsibility to give Geoff Ogilvy advice on club selection, yardage and whether he should go for the green or not (although his real caddy will be on hand to give you some tips!).

This could be you.

The winner of the Caddy Experience Team Titleist Sweepstakes will have the privilege of being Titleist Brand Ambassador Geoff Ogilvy’s caddy for the day in the Pro-Am at The Australian Open on Wednesday 25th November 2015. This is a once in a lifetime experience and to remind you of your fantastic day, the winner will also receive a Titleist Staff Bag signed by Geoff Ogilvy.

Pro Am TicketsIt doesn't stop there, as three (3) Runners up will be selected to represent Team Titleist ANZ in the Australian Open Pro Am, playing alongside a Titleist Staff Ambassador, experiencing the famous Australian Golf Club tournament course and soaking up the atmosphere.

All major prize winners will be welcomed into the tournament hospitality, starting with breakfast followed by a buffet lunch served with fine wines and a complimentary bar in the clubhouse. This will provide you with a fantastic opportunity to witness all top Tour Professionals perform at the highest level indulging in a fabulous day of golf hospitality. Not to mention a bag full of Team Titleist merchandise, golf balls and course admission for the event so you can wander around the course seeing the Tour Professionals in action during the tournament.

I'd love to caddy for Geoff at the Australian Open Pro AM because...I love golf! (and I'm a Victorian!)

I would love the opportunity to caddie for Geoff in the pro-am at the Australian Golf Club next week and I'm certain Geoff would love to have me on the bag. I believe my light-hearted approach to the game will be perfect for the day and for Geoff's preparation heading into the Australian Open. In addition to ensuring a great day is had by all, having an insight into how a tour player works his way around the course will be invaluable for my own game. However by far the best part would be being able to claim that my caddying in the pro-am was the difference when Geoff lifts the Stonehaven Cup on Sunday!!

I would be honored to caddy for Geoff at the Aus Open Pro-Am because I would love to understand the roles of the caddy when preparing for a tournament and pick Geoff's brain on how he goes about playing and preparing for tournaments like the Aus Open. As I have just completed my HSC and consider caddying on pro tour's a dream career path for me, this opportunity would give a great insight for me. Also being given the opportunity to return to places as special as the Australian Golf Club. My grandfather was a member there and won many major pennant flags with the Australian, he also won the Australian Amateur in 1957. My brother is now a junior scholarship holder there and went on to become their junior club champion and number 1 major pennant player. This course holds a very special place in my family heart and I would be honored to return there as Geoff's caddy.

Golf is all about fun & enjoyment...caddying for Geoff Ogilvy would be SERIOUS FUN. To caddy for a Aussie Open champion, a US Open major champion and to see that effortless swing close up would be something else. A real chance to learn so much more about this game, inside the ropes, walking the fairways and reading the greens of The Australian Golf Club. A great chance to talk the history of golf, share his views on golf courses around the world and to hear about his guitar collection and win the pro-am. A day never to forget, an opportunity I dream of winning.

With titleist having the number one ball in golf

Geoff discovering one world, one way

And Dan the man, as caddy in the pro am.

It sounds to me, like a winning recipe.

It would be a delight to see Geoff win this fight

And at the end of play, would be this memorable day

With all our thanks, delivered to titleist and the bank (ANZ)

And cheers to all, we had a ball. (TITLEIST Number 1)

I would love to have the opportunity to caddie for Geoff because I have always wished to see the lighter side of a big tournament like the pro-am. I feel it would be a once in a lifetime experience to be in such great company for a day...and hey who knows it could be the start of a new career for me haha.

I have met Geoff and talked with him at the Presidents cup at Royal Melbourne and would love to go inside the ropes with him

Geoff Ogilvy has always been my favorite player, much to my sons dismay, his is Tiger Woods.  Geoff's swing seems so smooth and effortless for the power he gets from it. My own is not quite so smooth nor powerful as can be ascertained from my 24 handicap. I would dearly love to caddy for him in the Pro-am and get to see how he thinks his way around the course and watch that beautiful swing up close.
