Hole in one at Northstone CC

I started out my round at North Stone CC last Sunday poorly with a double boogy. I am a 2 Hdcp so this was not a good way to get my round going.

Unfortunately the round continued to be a struggle forcing me into one of those grinding type rounds that made me work for everything.

The last three holes at our club are brute and remind me a little of Sawgrass. 17 is guarded by water about 50% on the right and the left leaves you little options to bail out.

The distance was 170 with the wind blowing right to left at 10 MPH. I hit a 7 iron cleanly and it hit then checked and took one bounce and went into the hole. The shot was witness by another group from another hole along with another group one a separate tee box. Three foursomes enjoyed the event and that day everyone was able to join us in the bar for cold adult beverages.

I have played competitive amature golf for many years. I have had one double eagles and around 7 or more field shot 2's on par fours but this was my first hole in one.

Good time had by all!

Thanks for reading my story.
