I signed up for a league event at my club, Geneva National Golf Club,in Lake Geneva, WI. It was raining when I arrived at the club, and for some reason the pro shop did not register me. So I did not have a partner for the two man Stableford event we were playing that day. I decided to withdraw if the pro shop could not find me a partner. However, they did find me one at the last minute, so I played. Good fortune was on my side, because I had my best scoring round of the season, got my first hole in one, and my partner and I won the league event! What a day!
