My First Hole in One

I came to the par 3 17th hole needing to par the final two holes to break 80 for the first time at my home course (Blackmoor). With a back pin near the edge of the green I chose to hit an extra club and aim for the pin, hoping to have some kind of birdie opportunity or a routine two putt par. My shot was better than expected, the ball landing approximately 8 feet from the hole and then rolling in for my first ace.

I was one going to #17 par three at RIverside Country Side shooting 1 over.  Hitting a nine iron to a front pin placement about 126 yards.  With a left to right wind. Ball start on left side of the flag and wind start to fade ball toward the flag. The ball may a small bounce and dropped in the hole. Playing partner said it in the hole and gave me a high five. This gave me my first hole in one after 20 years of golf. This took me to one under going to the final hole. Never had around under par. Good drive with a good approach to the green with about a 20 footer for first round under par. Stroke the putt on a down grain put and ran the ball by the hole for a 6 footer for par. Missed the put but shot even par and hole in one. What a great day !!!!!!!!
