Update from Adam Scott - The Valero Texas Open

I just got back from practice. Weather is hot and conditions are similar to last week. There's a chance of rain later in the week. I flew into San Antonio on Sunday night with Charley Hoffman. Unfortunately we left immediately after Charley's round so we didn't get to celebrate with Tim Clark! What a great round of golf for Tim....finished it with a clutch putt on 18. Nice to see him get his first US PGA TOUR win. Nobody deserves it more.

This is my first trip to San Antonio, it's actually fun being in a new city. I don't get a lot of time during a tournament week to see the sites but I do get to experience the local food in the evenings and I always enjoy that part. If you want good BBQ this is the place to come!

I've got an afternoon tee time for the pro-am tomorrow so I'll practice and a do a light work-out in the morning. I played well last week but still need to get a few more putts to drop. I'm confident it's only a matter of staying patient and continuing to work hard.

I wanted to let everyone know the PGA TOUR put together a new website PGATOUR.com/Together that is a good resource to learn what the TOUR and all the players are doing for charity. Check it out when you get time.

I'll write more next week. Until then you can follow me on Facebook and Twitter.

Take care.

Adam, I've been a big fan of yours, since I met you at the Hotel, where you were waiting for a limo to leave Long Island, N. Y., after the U.S. Open at Bethpage in 2009.  I was a Hotel Shuttle volunteeer driver, and I stopped & asked you to authograph my volunteer golf hat, which you did gladly.  Since then I have been following you in your effort to win tournaments again.  It made my day yesterday, that you finally broke that barrier & I hope this will put the past at rest, & you will play better than ever, I've been playing sixty-four(64) years, & started caddying when I was thirteen, doing three loops a day , sometimes carrying four bags at a time in the winter months, when caddys were scarce,  walking down the middle of  the fairways, with the golfers coming to me for clubs.  I really enjoyed caddying,  I caddyed for Patty Berg & Bettsy Rawls back in the very early fifties.  I made a mistake, & I'm sorry I didn't think of it till later, that I should have offered to take you to NYC or the airport in my personal  car for free, as an honor for your kindness towards me.  Continued sucess and good health.                    Harry

Way to go AS.  Way to close the deal and welcome back to the winners circle.  I hope this is the springboard you needed to have a very big year.
