Team Titleist packed up and headed west to meet with the PGA Tour as it makes its annual stop at Muirfield Village Golf Course in Ohio for the Memorial Tournament.

This week, the first-class group of competitors are looking to round into peak form as the U.S. Open is only two weeks away. With a trip inside the Memorial winner's circle and 500 FedExCup points on the line, 73 players in the field of 120 will trust a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success, more than five times the nearest competitor with 13 and more than all competitors combined.

Titleist is also first in the iron (27), sand, lob and approach wedge (114) and putter (39) categories.

Well, here’s the exciting news… Master Craftsman Bob Vokey is opening the doors to the Vokey Tour Department at Titleist and providing all of Vokey Nation with an opportunity to have your own hand-ground wedge personally built by “The Voke” or one of his craftsmen.

“I’m excited to make this Tour-level experience available to the Vokey wedge enthusiast,” said Vokey.

“I’m bringing everything I’ve learned over the years working with the best players in the world to this project. Many of the little tweaks I like to do on the Tour Van are now available. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do.”

WedgeWorks Hand Ground wedges are offered in 58º and 60º lofts, and four of Vokey's favorite high-performance sole grinds – M, V, E and T. The V, E, and T are models available only through the Hand Ground program. All Hand Ground wedges have a raw finish, previously available only to Tour players, along with Tour-proven, precision-milled SM4 grooves.

Many aspects of the wedge’s shape, sole and leading edge will be customizable, relative to the player's desired performance preferences. Golfers can choose from the many grind options that Voke has perfected over the years, including square toe, straighter or pre-worn leading edge, additional heel relief, thinner or beveled top line and a pro-groove sole.

So how will this all work?

After receiving an order, Bob or one his craftsmen – such as Vokey Tour Rep Aaron Dill – will hand grind, polish and buff each wedge, before finishing it off with personalized stamping and a hand-stamped hosel code. The grinder’s initials will be stamped on the hosel of each wedge, a small “BV” marking those wedges hand ground by the man himself.

The doors officially open to the Vokey Tour Department on June 19th and orders for WedgeWorks Hand Ground wedges can be submitted through Vokey.com

Each wedge will have an MSRP of $350 and are all inclusive of shafts, grips and customization options. Expected turn around time will be two to three weeks.

The results are in, and Titleist is once again at the head of the class. At the 2013 NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships, the most important on-course test of the year for collegiate golfers, a total of 240 players chose to play Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf balls, more than 12 times the nearest competitor brand with 19 and more than all competitors combined.

These high marks are just further proof that at every level of competitive golf, the overwhelming golf ball of choice for serious golfers everywhere is Titleist.

In Atlanta at this week's NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship, being contested at the Capital City Club's Crabapple Course, 132 players in the field of 156 relied upon Titleist golf balls, more than eight times the nearest competitor with 16.

It was more of the same at the NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championship that was played at University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga. An overwhelming 108 of the 126 players relied upon Titleist golf balls, more than 18 times the nearest competitor with six. In addition, the individual champion relied upon the Titleist Pro V1 golf ball for her success, as did all five members of the team champions.

With 85 percent of players at the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Championships relying on Titleist for their success, more of the best players in collegiate golf have reaffirmed that there is, in fact, a difference between a golf ball and the #1 ball in golf.

At the NCAA Men's, Titleist also was the overwhelming favorite of more players than any other brand across every major golf club category including drivers (50), fairway metals (55), hybrids (48), iron sets (57), sand, lob and approach wedges (162) and putters (65). Titleist irons (35), Vokey Design sand, lob and approach wedges (141) and Scotty Cameron putters (45) were also the top choice among competitors at the NCAA Women's finale.

Team Titleist is in Fort Worth, this week for the longest running event on the PGA Tour still being held at the original site, The Crowne Plaza Invitational.

Colonial Country Club first hosted the event in 1946 and has a storied list of competitors. This week's field is filled with talent and 90 players in the field of 136 will trust a Titleist Pro V1 or Pro V1x golf ball for their success, more than six times the nearest competitor with 14 and more than all competitors combined.

Titleist is also first in the sand, lob and approach wedge (141) and putter (49) categories.

From the Titleist Tour truck to the practice range, the Team Titleist lenses were capturing the action as Titleist Brand Ambassadors and golf ball loyalists spent the early part of the week dialing in their games and their equipment.
