Tour Seeding of Prototype Titleist Hybrids Starts at John Deere Classic

818 Preview

After an exciting and successful week introducing the new family of prototype Titleist 718 irons to players at the Quicken Loans National (check out the coverage here), Team Titleist is back on the road and this time we have the new prototype 818 hybrids in tow.

This week, our Tour Reps and R&D teams will be on site at TPC Deere Run to start the performance validation process on the PGA TOUR for the prototype 818 hybrids and to continue working with players as they transition into the new prototype 718 irons. And across the pond, our European Tour staff will also be working alongside many of the world's best players at the Scottish Open to take this same vital step in our launch process.

As one of the most crucial checkpoints on the path to launch, the tour validation process is where we ensure every Titleist club is delivering on our brand promise of innovation, performance, and quality excellence. Once a prototype has passed this vital test it is one step closer to receiving a final stamp of approval. But before they land in golf shops, we'll start working with our network of fitters, product specialists and trade partners to make sure they can provide you with the best possible fitting and trial experiences once the products are ready for launch.

In the meantime, stay tuned to Titleist.com (sign up for special 818 and 718 product alerts by clicking this link) and our social channels (follow us on InstagramTwitter and Facebook) as we share more Titleist 818 and 718 product details in the near future.
