Tour report: It's a Victory for the Seniors in Australia!

It was a two-win weekend for Titleist golf ball loyalists around the world's professional tours - headlined by a victory for the Seniors at the Australian Open!

Australaisan: With son Mitch on the bag, Titleist Pro V1 loyalist Peter Senior swept to his second Australian Open title this weekend - winning by one shot with a 4-under total of 284.

The 53-year old won the title last in 1989 and put this victory down to his short game performance: "The key to today's round was that I never put any pressure on myself with the putts," Senior explained to "The chips and bunker shots were pretty close and were just tap-ins."

Having battled the windy conditions and overcoming a three hour delay, the fact that he has won with his son on the bag was clearly a delight for the Queenslander, "We've had three years on the Champions Tour where Mitch has caddied for me for the last two years. We've lost three playoffs, so it feels unbelievable to win with him on the bag.''

Titleist was the overwhelming ball of choice for players at the Australian Open, with 116 placing their trust in the #1 ball in golf.

LatinoAmerica: Ariel Canete led a 1-2-3 finish for Pro V1x loyalists at the Olivos Golf Classic in Argentina, posting a pair of 4-under 67's en route to a 9-under total of 275 and a two-shot win.

This was Canete's second win on the LatinoAmerica Tour and his seventh top-10 finish this year, as he topped fellow Pro V1x loyalists Clodomiro Carranza and Jose Coceres (both of whom were using the new Titleist Pro V1x prototype golf ball).

Titleist was the top choice of 121 players, more than seven times the nearest competitor with 16.

Titleist was the top choice in the golf ball category with 78 players, more than three times the nearest competitor with 22.

European: Not only did the rain shorten the number of holes played at the Nelson Mandela Championship in South Africa, but it also shortened the length of the course, as the two rounds were played over a layout with a par of just 66.

Titleist was the top choice in the golf ball category of the 2013 season-opener with 111 players in the field of 156, more than five times the nearest competitor with 19.
