English, Luiten and Frost Combine for 3-Win Week for Titleist Golf Ball Loyalists

Trusting a Titleist golf ball on every shot, three more players from across the globe achieved championship performances and entered the winner’s circle on Sunday.

In his first start at the FedEx St. Jude Classic, Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Harris English posted four rounds in the sixties on his way to a 12-under par 268 to capture his first career PGA Tour victory. Pro V1 golf ball loyalist Joost Luiten began Sunday’s championship round at the Lyoness Open with a three shot lead, and consistent play resulted in a 17-under par 271 and his second career victory on the European Tour. On the Champions Tour, Pro V1 golf ball loyalist David Frost completed a 16-under par 272 to win the Regions Tradition and seize his first major on the senior circuit.

Adding three more victories to the trophy count, Titleist Pro V1 and Pro V1x golf ball loyalists have now won 67 tournaments on the worldwide professional tours in 2013, more than three times the nearest competitor with 20 and more than all other competitors combined.

PGA: FedEx St. Jude Classic

Winner: Pro V1x golf ball loyalist Harris English

English, a Georgia native who played high school golf in Tennessee, posted a 6-under par 66 on Thursday and followed that up with a 8-under par 64 to hold the lead Friday. The heat and the wind increased throughout the weekend, and scoring conditions became more difficult, but English prevailed with back-to-back rounds of 1-under par 69. And he capped off his final round by trusting his Pro V1x golf ball to two birdies in the final three holes to seal the victory.

"It's quite an unbelievable feeling," said English following his win.

"The main thing that I am looking forward to is playing the Masters next year. Growing up in Georgia, I mean that was the main tournament that I always watched and went to when I was a kid. The invitation to the Masters is going to be very special and special for my family."

The win marks the first career PGA TOUR victory for English, who also has four top 10 finishes this season. Titleist Brand Ambassador Scott Stallings posted a final round 2-under par 68 to finish in a tie for second.
